So.. we arrived at our cottage around about 6pm and our neighbours (the ones who sold us the house) had delivered a mattress, a table and chairs and a generator for us to use whilst we are here, they also invited us up for a coffee.
Steve had a quick walk around the garden and discovered that someone had stolen most of our olives, he deduced it was probably the house behind us, and he was fuming!
We quickly unpacked and went up for a coffee and a chat and then went back to our cottage.
The first day dawned and Steve had developed a cough and a high temperature so he tested and discovered he had COVID!! So, my first message of the morning was to our lovely kind neighbours to inform them..... I felt very guilty!!
Steve spent most of the first day feeling very poorly, so after deciding that I wasn't keen on driving, I walked 1 1/2 miles there and back to the supermarket and chemist to pick up supplies. After a short battle with Google, I found my way and all was good. I picked up a few supplies bearing in mind that I would have to carry it all back with me, I had a bit of a disaster halfway around the store when the cream cleanser I had in my basket leaked all over the floor, however, a kind member of staff helped me to clean up and I was on my way again. Embarrassing!!
After getting back and having some food, I decided to clear the ivy off the front of the house and weeded the bed at the front of the garden, it now looks like someone lives there.
An early night as I am now feeling poorly!!
